I have recently been forced to take a break from the model making and anything work related so sorry for the lack of updates. One of the things i have been up to is relaxing and getting on with my hobbies which include gardening and, off course, war-gaming. Now, when i first started out war-gaming at the ripe old age of 11 back in the 80s i was first introduced to it via games workshop... I know some of you may groan at that but how many of us started out that way. As this was the case i have a fond affinity to the Imperium and decided it was about time i finished of those true scale marines that i had started oh so long ago. However, with me being me i was never content with just converting the plastic kits i wanted to sculpt my own marines and the following image is the result.
The painting has come a lot further on since this picture, but they don't look too bad. The torso, legs, backpacks and shoulder pads are all cast from a mould of original sculpts i had made but the rest of the bits and pieces are GW bits. You may recognise the "Contemptor Dreadnought" in the background that has been re-purposed from the steam punk exo-suit i made a while ago.
